Westby Seniors meet at community center

The Westby Senior Citizens met at the Westby Community Center on June 13, at 1:30 p.m. Guests were Harland and Thelma Olson and Thelma Berger.

Motion was made to donate $20 to Red Cross Flood Relief. Marvin Anderson received the door prize. Harlan Olson showed pictures of earlier days at Norskedalen’s Midsummer Fest, complete with music, too. Very interesting. “Happy Birthday” was sung for Engebret Schaub and Lillian Leum. Blackout bingo prize went to Marvin Anderson.

Hostesses were Mae Jacobson and Verna Berg.

Next meeting will be a potluck picnic dinner on July 11, in the Community Center at 12:30 p.m. Katie Leum, who has spent a part of two years working in Antarctica, will talk about her work, living conditions and much more, complete with pictures.

No bingo that day.
